The University Club will hold meetings in the Faculty/Staff Commons in the Bone Student Center. We meet every other Friday during the Spring Semester on the following dates: January 30 (via Zoom), February 13, February 27, March 27, April 10 and May 1.
YOU NEED NOT BE A MEMBER TO ATTEND.
Please see the Calendar page for more information about the upcoming talks this semester.
The University Club is open to all faculty, staff, administrative professionals, and annuitants. The group provides a congenial venue where we learn about the University and the local community and have the opportunity to get to know our very diverse and interesting colleagues from across the University. We provide a comfortable and friendly environment where we can gather on a biweekly basis to socialize and meet old friends and new colleagues. We also sponsor and provide ten student scholarships every year through independent donations from our members.
During the remainder of this academic year, we meet every other Friday during the Spring Semester at 3:30 - 5:30 pm in the Faculty/Staff Commons, located in the Bone Student Center. We provide complimentary hors d'oeuvres and soft drinks. At 4:30 p.m, guest speakers give a brief presentation about a University or local event, about current topics in the news that are of general interest or about ongoing activities and research by University faculty and staff. All presentations include time for discussion.
Major programming and facilities support for University Club is provided by generous contributions from the Provost's Office and the President's Office. We also ask regular attendees to consider voluntary contributions to the University Club program and/or the University Club scholarship funds through the ISU Foundation.
